■ OVERALL ■True to size but size down if in between, very minimal scrunch on the back seam that isn't visible when wearing, wouldn't size up unless you have bigger glutes bc or the scrunch would be visible w/ extra fabric, stretchy and soft performance material that has stood up to about a month of near daily washes/wears, light-medium compression, light-medium cellulite coverage, squatproof/RDL proof in black/pepper red/medium blue on my body, comfy enough for a lounge short or all-day wear, will show panty lines unless you have seamless or a pair with flatter seams, higher quality than a lot of more expensive shorts I've bought + better than literally every Gymsh*rk item I have ever seen. Only issue is they give me problems in the crotch area unless I'm wearing non-seamless underwear or a pantiliner, but that's different for everyone. Even better than the other TomTiger shorts. I think they are amazing quality for the price, and I'm going to be buying every color.5'8", 130 lb, my natural waist ranges from 24" (morning skinny) to 28" (very bloated), the widest part of my stomach is below my belly button and that ranges from 30-32" depending on bloating. Hips 38" (moderate glutes with wider hips), upper thigh 22". This will be long, but hopefully helpful. The shorts in my pics are dirty bc of me, they were clean when I opened the package lol.I ordered an XS in the 5" shorts. I normally buy an XS in active bottoms despite being in the M size range with my hip measurements for most brands. When I order S in leggings or shorts, the waist is too loose. I also always get the highest waisted fit possible.■ FIT/SIZING ■For XS activewear shorts, I regularly have issues with them rolling up, the leg holes being too small and squeezing my thighs, and ?situations? in the crotch (this is solved by ordering a S, but then I have waistband issues). If in between sizes in these shorts, I would size down because of how stretchy they are (more on that later). There's a very subtle scrunch on the back seam, it is not visible at all from the outside when you are wearing them, and not shiny like the Alph*lete Ampl*fys. It does settle in between the cheeks, which may take some getting used to if you haven't worn scrunch bottoms before (I haven't), but it's very flattering and not uncomfortable in my opinion. These are a light-medium compression. They don't squish my thighs uncomfortably at the leg seam or cause an indent. They don't roll, but if you like to hike your shorts up really high or pull the legs down they will slide back into place (to prevent rolling buy shorts with a longer inseam that go below the largest point of your thighs). I have had issues with my crotch eating up shorts whether they have front seams or not (especially in Gymsh*rk seamless items, which I don't bother with anymore) and these aren't any different. If you have that problem often, these aren't one to go commando in. I can't wear my super naked feel seamless undies in these without a pantiliner, which I'm alright with because my other normal underwear solves the problem. These are comfortable enough for me to wear as a lounge short or for long periods of time, even when I'm bloated. The seams on the back do go above my glutes but might be different if your glutes are fuller at the top (if you have REALLY huge glutes I'd size up for a better fit with the scrunch, waist will probably still fit correctly unless you go up multiple sizes).■ FABRIC/QUALITY ■It's a thin, very stretchy performance fabric, which I prefer, and it's soft! It's the same fabric as the other TomTiger shorts from what I remember. I ordered a pair of the others (the ones similar to the Whitneys) and my only problem was that the point where the back seams met on my backbone poked out (I'll include a pic). It wasn't bad honestly, but I returned them bc I just could not get over it. But these shorts don't have that problem, the part where the seams meet are completely flat!! They aren't fuzzy soft, but if you like brushed fabrics you'll probably still be okay with these, I feel like they're a good middle ground. Haven't had them snag or rip but I'd be careful regardless since they are on the thinner side. I can't speak on their similarity to the Buffb*nny legacy shorts bc I don't have them (I don't care for brushed fabrics rn), but they seem to be the exact same in looks. Doesn't attract lint (I have a husky). I haven't noticed my cellulite showing through so far but I haven't been looking for it tbh. I do have a pair of thin brushed Y*galicious leggings that literally show the outlines of my muscles and cellulite I didn't even know I HAD, and these are definitely much more flattering lol. So probably light-medium on cellulite coverage, leaning toward light. I have the pepper red, black, and medium blue and all are squatproof/RDL proof on my body. I've worn black underwear on leg day with no problem. I have not noticed any stretching out of the fabric or scrunch after wearing them for a full day, they fit the same in the morning vs evening. In terms of quality, I have washed these multiple times and they're fine. I wash with cold water in a mesh bag and hang dry. I have three pairs and no loose seams so far, just one place on a pair that had a little extra string sticking out of the end of a seam (seam was still tight). I cut it off and had no other issues since. Some of the inside seams on the black ones (haven't checked the other colors) have tiny bits of extra string off the ends, but I've had no problems with the seams on any of the shorts and I don't think it's going to be an issue in the future. Not sure if it would be anything to worry about in the first place, but I figured I'd mention it anyway lol. Scrunch is also exactly the same as when I got them. Some reviews mention thin straight portions of darker fabric - they may or may not have gotten a defective piece, but these shorts do temporarily crease the tiniest bit if they're folded for a while, and the placement of the darker lines on the "defective" pieces makes me think it's just from the pieces being folded for delivery. You can hang them up for storage if you're really picky, but I fold mine in between wears and when they're on the creasing is not noticeable on any of the colors I have. Weird thing to mention but I HATE tags on my clothing and somehow I forgot to cut the tags out on both the blue and the red pairs until I had worn them multiple times?? Usually I can immediately feel and see tags when I put something on, no matter where it is or what material, so this was new.■ CUSTOMER SERVICE/SHIPPING ■The pepper red and medium blue shorts were delivered with normal Prime shipping. I ordered the black on June 1st knowing they would take longer, estimated delivery anywhere from June 13th-26th. They were delivered the 15th, earlier than I expected tbh! The black 0shorts were actually stolen before I could grab them (which hasn't happened to me before) and Amazon didn't offer me a refund. All I did was contact TomTiger through Amazon and explain the situation, and they immediately sent me a replacement! I got the replacement 3-4 days after my initial message to them, which I found super impressive honestly. So many companies are suspicious and unhelpful (like do you need to cross-examine me when your product fell apart on my first wear...?), but I'm very happy with the quick response. Going to continue buying from them for sure!
